Tattoo Story {calm, peace and strength}

Hello,
Thank you for celebrating the ancient art of tattooing!
I have always been intrigued by tattoos and toyed with the idea of getting one for many years, but never had the visceral pull that I was looking for in my gut to go ahead until one day in Dec 2007. I was at the beginning of a separation from a 14 year relationship and I need to find strength and to remember who I was.
My yoga practice and its symbols danced in my mind. I needed something that would permanently remind me to live in the moment, feel renewed and reborn. I chose a simple combination of a water lily, to remember my struggles and to strive for enlightenment and the om sign to represent  peace and a higher power.
I look at my tattoo daily and feel an instance calm, peace and strength.
