My name is Dina and I have an Om tattoo story, I would like to share. It was a few years in the making as my yoga practice has grown. Once I made the choice to pursue teacher training I felt I needed to wear my passion. The Om symbol style is a combination of Thai and Hindu Om. Yoga (and meditation) is to me a true form of divine healing that we all carry within us. I have dedicated to it completely and want to share yoga with everyone I come into contact with. The blue swirling behind the Om represents the color of the throat chakra. I’ve had a thyroid condition since I was a kid and have found that setting intention on my throat chakra has helped with balancing that condition. I’ve even had people tell me that my tattoo has been a focal point during our asana practice! That makes me happy.
